parents of Kaylin Slivoskey, 3x NORTH DAKOTA State High Jump Champion (2022/2023/2024)
Eric and Estalita Slivoskey (Kaylin’s parents):Kaylin discovered high jump during field day in 6th grade and then started competing her 7th grade year, not really knowing much about the techniques necessary to be a proficient high jumper. After attending a camp with Coach Hugo Kaylin’s love and interest for the sport began to grow. His method of coaching, and the way he communicated feedback to her really built her confidence and accelerated her progress as a competitive athlete. Kaylin placed 6th in the 2021 state meet as a freshman. Before the start of her sophomore season, Kaylin attended her third camp with Coach @hugo_munoz_oly , and improved her PR by 4 inches in the first meet. After hitting a plateau towards the end of the season, we decided to take advantage of Coach Hugo’s video analysis. We sent him a few videos of her jumping, and he helped her to adjust a few things heading into the state meet. Today, Kaylin put that feedback into practice and is now the 2022 North Dakota State Class B High Jump Champion. Coach Hugo’s genuine concern, his personable style, and his ability to get the best out of the athletes he works with, is what sets him apart. Thank you coach for all your help and support along the way.
